19 You saw with your own eyes the great trials, the signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the Lord your God brought you out. The Lord your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.... 21 Do not be terrified by them, for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.
We read about the great miracles he did back in the day, but I'm not sure we (or at least I) believe he is or will do miracles today. But he is the same God today, 2000 years is a snap of finger for him. Why would he not be doing the same works in this moment that he did in that moment? He can do what feels impossible in my life, he can protect my family from evil in society that tries to infect our hearts and minds.
i need to believe and to rely on him. this is my prayer

You are touching on a lot of my personal thoughts and questions. Here's deep thoughts.....by Todd Parker. haha
ReplyDeleteIn the Old Testament, which you are referring to....the miracles seemed to be prevalent. God was the main interface to man. God spoke to man. And, the miracle were said to be from God personally. Jesus and the Spirit only appear a couple of times. In the Gensis, in the furnace, and the spirit is the executioner in the final plague. In the New Testament, the interface is mostly with Jesus. God only appears a couple of times. Jesus performed all the miracles...or most of them. Then Jesus said after he ascended into heaven that the Holy Spirit is now with us. Makes me think.....hmmmm. Should we be tailoring our interface to know that the Spirit is with us? Should we be looking to him for the miracles of now?
i know right? koko for cocoapuffs!
