13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
This one is a real challenge for me.
I'm trying, using this blog as a tool, to be a self-feeder rather than relying on others to feed my soul.
Its difficult to stay focussed for me. Its a LOT easier to let someone else prepare the lesson, package it nicely with some talented singers, maybe a nice video, and I feel pretty good. I think to be fully vested, we need to be learning from others around us, and digging in the verses ourselves. There's a ton of discovery to be had in both.
And anyway......why buy the cow, when........................never mind.
i agree with your comments here, i do think we need both to be fed a little and to feed ourselves. I think what we are doing here is most important for me, I've needed to dig in more on my own and until we started this really didn't spend any regular time in the bible.
ReplyDeleteoh, and you bought the cow so too late now.
