8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts,you double-minded.
The entire first section talks about being humble towards God, submitting to him, disconnecting from the noise of our human desires for the things around us on this earth. My take away is make the effort to get close to God and He will get to close to us. He has given us free choice and he won't force himself upon us, but when we choose to be close to him he will come running to us. It would be sad to think I left him hanging.
