Luke 11

Man, here's another one.  Too much to take in.
I like how Jesus, not only understand every concept of life, of all the people....but, he can put that knowledge into stories that make his point looks so clear.  I can understand why they are getting angry with him.  Its almost like trying to trap your sibling, into getting spanking, but at every attempt, they make you look ridiculous..........the wisdom is epic.

The "woe to you..." portion of the chapter seems really heavy.  I'm not sure I understand the magnitude of what he's saying here

47 “Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your ancestors who killed them. 48 So you testify that you approve of what your ancestors did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’ 50 Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,

anyway, I'm pretty much rambling.....good stuff.....too much to write.  These chapter need a weeks worth of reading/reflection.

  1. your right these chapters are deserving of more than a 1 day drive by for sure. He does always have an answer and often turns questions on their ear with his response.

The chapter has a lot in it, but one of the shortest verses grabbed my attention:

23 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

The first part is pretty easy to see and to think I'm with him--but I'm not sure how well I gather for him to which he is telling me I'm scattering. That doesn't feel real good.
