8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance....10 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
When I think of an ax I think of power maybe even a little bit of anger. Huge trees can be sent to the forest floor by the powerful swing of the man running the ax. Beyond just repenting and asking for his forgiveness and salvation I need to being using my life to help be a productive part of his Kingdom. If not maybe I should prepare for being struck by the ax and burned by the fire.

Although I agree with you.......you don't have to paint such a vivid picture.....sheesh! Its Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahah....just kidding. I think you're right on. That's the kind of thing I think of a LOT. Am I doing enough to be considered fruitful for the kingdom of God? Or am I on a mission to be fruitful for myself, or for my wife, or for my kids? Our Sunday message this week talked about your "everything". The question was "what's your everything?". If its not God, you will never feel peace and satisfaction. I believe its the same thing you are talking about. Are you fruitful? = Is God your everything?
I can say yes very definitively.....................sometimes.
Somehow, I'm gonna have to get in front of you with these posts.....you are making me look bad!
