It’s your very nature to be worshiped!
This one caught my eye. Especially as we have been talking lately about how we tend to stray, and its hard for us to stay on point with our mission. While it is a daily decision we make to put God first.....its in his nature to be worshiped. I almost can't wrap my head around that! That's how good he is. AMAZAING!
21 It’s because our leaders are stupid.
They never asked God for counsel,
And so nothing worked right.
This one scares me a LOT! I feel this is happening to our society, little by little. Taking prayer out of school, getting "In God we trust" off of our money. Dad was telling me that they are going to have to take the cross down off the hill beside the river in Grand Haven. The satanists are arguing that the cross can stay, but they want their symbol to sit on the hill right beside the cross. They have decided that rather than that....they will take the cross down.
Its so sad. The more we take God out of our society, the more things will fail. I'm completely convinced of it. This is something I think about with our kids. What will the rules and regulations be in the society for them.....and what struggles will they have because of it?
Monday morning quick one!
Its hard to tell if our leaders have faith or if they are afraid to share their faith because they will be attacked and rendered in effective and therefore lose their ability to have a postive impact. Its interesting how it is completely accepted to attack christianity but then mean while we have extremist from the muslim religion bringing terror to the world and our president is afraid to even call them what they are---terrorists. Why are we so timid? Its like me being afraid to share my faith with Johnny--why?
ReplyDelete5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good.”
We don't need to fear them without God, they do not have any power. It actually makes me think about them pulling the cross down in Grand Haven. Should they? Imagine the conversations that might be had if the cross is there and the satanists put up their thing right next to it? The cross today probably doesn't create any discussion that leads someone to faith, but it is a beautiful reminder to those of us with faith already. It would probably draw more attention if the satanist had their symbol up, and maybe it would generate some fruitful conversations on some boats that go beyond how the Bears and the Lions are doing. Should we fear the satanist symbol?
probably crazy talk but its just where my mind went.
