Just an observation that when God isn't on your side.....things aren't good.
10 Then God said of these people:
“Since they loved to wander this way and that,
never giving a thought to where they were going,
I will now have nothing more to do with them—
except to note their guilt and punish their sins.”
never giving a thought to where they were going,
I will now have nothing more to do with them—
except to note their guilt and punish their sins.”
I seem to lack some of the discipline that it takes to be consistently living a life for God. This verse is a not-so-subtle reminder that its not an option. Life is so much better with him, than it can be if he's against you.
you picked the same verse I did, its pretty easy to relate to them doing their own thing but then when things get rough they will be back asking for his mercy, but why would he even listen to us if we always have him on ignore except when we have a want or need.
ReplyDeleteWe are starting a study on worship based prayer so one thing that caught my attention is Jeremiah is in a conversation with God with dialogue going back and forth. I must say more often then not I am in a one way communication with God, I tell him what I want or need or I am thinking about but I don't either His response or I choose not to listen. having a conversation is what I truly want.
