Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
I didn't get a lot today. But I do love how this verse from Psalm has been used in popular song. Its a song that I'm not sure we sing much at church anymore but whenever I hear it it gets in my head and sticks for a while. I knew it was directly from the bible but to be honest I didn't know what Psalm so it was a nice surprise to run across this morning.
I love the quick less history reminder this Psalm provides and the comfort it gives that his love has been here long before I came into the earth and will be until the earth is done being used. Also more than ever for me when we read these verses that cover other parts of the bible its nice to know I have actually read those parts of the bible and taken time to think about them. I'm looking forward to the day I can say I have read the bible...and know that it is a complete statement. then i'll be ready for round 2!

This is from 134.
I found this interesting. Our church is one of those place that you are welcomed to worship however you feel led. So, some people raise their hands during the worship music. I always catch myself looking at those people....and I don't do it. But, here it is, in black and white.
I loved chapter 137, as you did. I found myself singing the song as I was reading it.
have a good one!
