Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
This is one of those overwhelming mind bending chapters for me to think about. That of the billions of people who have passed through this vessel called earth, God knew who I was and would be from the beginning.
I'm probably going to be missing all of next week. I leave for Australia Saturday and return on Friday. I'll get logged on if I can--we have almost completed Psalm. When we started it this time I figured we would need to break again but I'm glad we are going all the way through it.

I love Psalms 139. Its one I've heard a few sermons on. I think there are 2 really strong messages in there. The first is that God is everywhere, and he has a plan for us. The second is that God is EVERYWHERE! I can sense the authors frustration with God being everywhere. There isn't anywhere he can go to hide. No matter what his actions are, God will see them. No matter what we do, God knows it will happen before we think it.
ReplyDeleteWe've talked about the frustration with trying to live a life "good enough" for God, and how futile that is. This speaks to that frustration a little bit.
But, more than that....it speaks to how POWERFUL God really is. To think that he is outside of time itself, and can see our future and past simultaneously.....that hurts my pea brain (just like you said)
have a safe trip!
