Revelation 22

2 things today, as we wrap it up.  I like how this verse sounds.  Let the thirsty drink the water of life!

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

2nd verse that caught my attention is this:

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City,

This book is so full of imagery and mysterious depictions of wild visions.  And yet, it says they are not to be added to, or taken away from.  That means that everything that is written here is important to God, and important for us to understand.  I must admit, its a real challenge for me.  I kept referring back to the "understanding revelation" web site, to try to decifer it.  This is a book that could be studied for the rest of your life, and still not unlock everything in there.

BOOM!
done, 1 time through!

have a great Thanksgiving break!
Give all of your family a hug for me

  1. 12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

So as we put a wrap on the first lap through I am reminded that there may not be time for lap #2. He could be here anytime and while its our faith in him that allows us to enjoy eternity with him there is some measure of what we do in our time on earth matters...he will give to us according to what we have done. Not how high we climbed the corporate latter or how many accolades we received from our peers. Actively living out his instruction for us, loving him and loving others everyday seems like a good start.

I am so glad we started this journey together, I would have never done this with you. What a great feeling to know I have finally poured all of his words into me. Now to build on that foundation!
