John 17

23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

This verse caught my eye this morning.  Not because of how crazy it is to think that Jesus prayed for us....but, because of the word "unity."  He talks of complete unity through him.  If I look around, at the world, right now.  I would describe more as complete "disunitiy."  I think we have taken the ultimate sacrifice, and the best gift...and we have completely missed it.  The world seems more interested in fighting and expressing our differences, than we are in the unification of anything.
Sad! (that's my Trump reference)

  1. your are so dead on, this world is the polar opposite of unity. Funny your comments because I picked my verse because of how crazy it is to think about Jesus praying for us.

24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

To hear him say 'I want' sounds so personal. What does he want, he wants me and you to be with him. That is crazy, this world is so big and the number of people with their own story is unimaginable and yet Jesus knows me and wants me to be with him.

    Its fantastic (another Trump reference)
