24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
This chapter is a bit of a warning against those who are out for self profit, and those who don't have God at the heart of everything they are doing....but, I like the ending Doxology. After all the talk of the condemned, words of warning, and stories of fallen angels....the author ends it with a declaration of the power of God. Its a sobering reminder that no matter how hard we try...we can't keep ourselves from being on the wrong side of the ledger. Its only through God's grace that we are able to "not stumble."

Well said--we need Grace.
ReplyDelete18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
maybe its been like this through all time since Jesus has risen but it sure seems there are plenty of scoffers in the US society today. could we as a society be anymore divided? within the church it is likely the same just by shear probability given the makeup of our society.
