Genesis 10

1-2 At one time, the whole Earth spoke the same language.

This is probably a real stretch.  But, if you look at language today....its getting closer and closer together.  As we invent new words and new terms that every language adopts, it becomes closer.  The more of this that happens the faster technology moves and the more we create.   The end game to this is that everyone will eventually speak the same language.  This gets us back to the situation that God was avoiding by scattering everyone and making them speak different languages.
The other part of this is it sounds like God is almost fearful of what man will do if we are all working together in the same place.  Probably not for his concern, but for the concern that we will accomplish too much, too quickly.

Interesting.

  1. 32 These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.

not sure which one, but its odd to think about our lineage being tied back through one of these names spread across the earth. i wonder why God bothered to document all this for us. It always makes me feel like I'm missing something when I read passages like this and have no real takeaway. He had limited number of words to share in writing with us and these are some of them--there must be something he wants me to take away from it right?
