It's funny isn't it? The sins of the father.....blah, blah, blah. So strange that Isaac does this too. Maybe it was something was not uncommon in those days. I do understand it a little bit. If your wife is beautiful and desirable and the society is a little lawless.....people could kill you and steal your wife. But, it would seem to leave her vulnerable. It's a little like trading your vulnerability for hers....hmmmm. Might be something there.

This little line at the end caught my attention. It made me laugh a little bit. Sounds like Esau's 2 wives were not well liked by his parents. It's funny how that happens, isn't it? As we inch closer to that with our kids, it makes me wonder who they will pick, and will they be a source of grief for us? funny thought.
