8 Therefore the Lord Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words,
I really struggled in this chapter to find any message other than ignore God when he's talking to you and the end result is gonna be messy for you.
Should be simple enough and yet its really a daily struggle for all believers. Its not that we don't hear its that we don't listen.

I found this one interesting. He didn't just destroy everything and everyone. He sent his profit to talk to all the Kings first. To make them drink the cup, and tell them what was about to happen.
ReplyDeleteGod doesn't seem to like to just wipe stuff away. He needs them to know why, and what they have done to deserve it, before he executes his plan. I think that is interesting. Its almost as if this is their "trial.' How will they react? Will they listen? Will they drink from the cup? Will they repent?
But the overall message is what you said. Listening to God is the key. Ignoring him is not a good idea. I feel that's what most western society does. Just no time for God.
I have to guard myself from that thinking!
