Maintain your faith, even in the hard times. Don't ask God, "why would you allow this to happen?" Just remain in relationship with him, throughout it all. The significance of your life will outlast your time here. That's what speaks to me in this book/passage. It seems that in this day and age of instant gratification, we are really quick to jump ship if something isn't garnering immediate results. Ruth didn't live her life that way. She was going to stick to her God, through any circumstance. Because of that, God was able to use her in his larger plan.

I've never made it through the entire bible, 2015 really doesn't sound that far away. We will get there if we are like Ruth in our persistent pursuit of God and his word.
