I don't have any real take here, just reflecting on how maybe things today aren't a whole lot different than they were back when the bible was written. It seems like drugs, sex and violence dominate the news. But as I read this I imagined if they had the same media we have today maybe the news of sex crimes and immorality would have been just as prevalent. Interesting how this book written so long ago is so relevant today.

agree. I have a strange twisted opinion on this one. I think there was as much seedy-ness back then, but it was all hidden. The ugly under-belly of society that a lot of people were involved in, but under the radar. Today, we have it out in the open. Today, it pushes and shapes our society. It drives technology development, and it a HUGE industry.
