Psalm 23-26

Psalm 26 2-3
Test me, Lord, and try me,
    examine my heart and my mind;
for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love
    and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

I didnt have many great observations today, I always like Psalm 23 and today these verses in Psalm 26 were the ones that caught my eye.

Kind of daunting to invite God to test me and examine my heart and mind.  But I better be comfortable with it because he knows me better than I know myself, its not like I can hide my weaknesses from him.

  1. Yeah.....I'm not sure that I really want to be tested. Not a tough test anyway.

    1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it;
    2 for he founded it on the seas
    and established it on the waters.

    I like this verse. It reminds me of a verse in James where he is talking about how funny it is that we make plans for the future. God is in control of everything, and it all belongs to him.

    James 4
    Boasting About Tomorrow
    13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
