Genesis 3

21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

This represents the first time an animal was sacrificed, to cover our sins.  This later translates, I believe, into the animal sacrifices that we see in the old testament.

Its really interesting to read this chapter.  The way its constructed, and the way it reads.  I find myself looking for meaning in every word.  From the punishments that God hands to the man and the woman, and the verbage that's used, even describing their physical positions in relation to each other.  The enitre time the serpent is talking to Eve, it seems like, Adam is standing right there....but, not interacting.  Not stopping.  Not stepping in.  Not saying anything.  And then when God asks what's happened, he pipe right up, to blames it on Eve.  Just like a little kid.
It seems right from the start, the relationship between man and woman was a tough one.  Even before they were kicked out of the garden.  Even in the "perfect situation" for them, they didn't act perfectly toward each other.

interesting...........
