Leviticus 4

22 “‘When a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the Lord his God, when he realizes his guilt 23 and the sin he has committed becomes known, he must bring as his offering a male goat without defect.

More explicit instructions repeated several times.  From this one I take the importance of coming before God asking him to forgive my sins.  In the OT this was quite a ceremony and must have taken some time to complete, which makes me think I should pray more than simply please forgive my sins.  I should call out very specifically what I know I have done wrong and I should ask for his forgiveness very intentionally and specifically not just a gloss over blanket exemption.

thats it from me, have a great weekend!

  1. Think of how much blood there must have been in the temple. Especially with the last chapter talking about splattering the blook to the east and west. It must have been pretty ripe, in the desert sun.
I think we talked about this before. But, in all of this talk about animal sacrifice.......do you remember when the first animal sacrifice took place, and who did the killing of the animal?
It was God that killed the animal, and it was to cover Adam and Eve when they first sinned in the garden. They covered themselves with fig leaves, and then God came and killed an animal and gave them the skins to wear.
Again, it all fits together like a puzzle. Every piecee intricately intertwined with the last and the next.
    Its unbelievable.

We are going to Florida next week, to get out of this crazy winter.
My participation my be spotty, or later in the day than normal.

    Peace out!
