Matthew 27

14 But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.

When your integrity is perfect there really is no need to defend yourself.  Interesting how the governor was impressed, there is something about a quiet confidence that is impressive.  something to remember, if you have to tell someone how good you are...are you really that good?

have a great weekend

  1. That's so true. I been in that situation before, (not completely like that, of course) when I know I am right.....everyone knows that I am right.....and I could just let it be. But, I find it almost impossible to not toot my own horn just a little bit. Not overtly, but just enough to let people know.....that I know.

I can't imagine his restraint. I just can't imagine......what was going thru his mind?

Just like yesterday. There are so many questions here.
The one thing I keep coming back to, is that the people started to believe when they saw the effects of killing Jesus around them. In other words, they had the Son of God right in front of them. He made no mistakes, he was completely perfect in every way. And yet, they only truly believed in him when they saw how his death effected their surroundings.
I think I live like that sometimes. Its right there in front of me. But, I'm waiting to see the effect. Why isn't the source enough?
Its like not believing water exists until I see the wet hair, or the worn rocks, or see the fire extinguished.

    Us people..........we aren't so smart!
