Leviticus 27:30 NIV
“ ‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.
I chose this verse because I can at relate it to today compared to putting values on selling people. Just a reminder that all that we have belongs to him and that we should freely offer some of it back to him.
But as I was thinking about this it made me wonder why do we still speak about titheing but not many of the other levite laws. Then I read tom v's take and saw he selected the same versus but poimted out that the tithe is a good principle rooted in levite law but that jesus took it up further challenging to give up all matrrial possessions and folloe him.
So maybe I shouldnt talk about tithing but it shouldn't be anything less
