33 If only there were someone to mediate between us,
someone to bring us together,
34 someone to remove God’s rod from me,
so that his terror would frighten me no more.
Well I'm not sure if this is intentional foreshadowing, but when I read this I thought of Jesus. He certainly came and removes the rod from us, but I don't think its God's rod--which is why I'm not sure this is foreshadowing but more just Job's thoughts. But either way it reminds me how fortunate I am that God sent Jesus on our behalf to pay for my sins.
