36 Overhearing[c] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
So he was addressing the family of the little girl who had died, but I thought this quote was something we can all use. Pretty simple, if we believe in Him there is nothing to be afraid of in this world.
Its no guarantee that life will be easy but at the same time nothing in this world is too big for Jesus to help us with.

It seems like an easy thing to do, doesn't it? Just believe. But, in practice its much more difficult. I can have an epiphany moment at 6:00....and be back to relying on myself at 6:05. I find it very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteMy take on this chapter was more on the first part. Why would the possessed man come out of the tombs to meet Jesus? These were "impure" spirits. Wouldn't they rather hide? They had to have known that if they came out.....it would end badly for them.
I aslo find myslef wondering what a possessed person looks like in our society? Woud I recognize them? Or, are we SO down the wrong path, that the dark one doesn't see fit to send demons anymore. Perhaps we are doing a really good job of corrupting ourselves.......hmm...
I'm going under the knife tomorrrow....on my right knee again. Nothing major, just a clean out. But, I may be a little delinquent with the blog this week. I will be laid up, and will have my computer at home. So, keep going and I'll catch up.
