Jeremiah 24-25

Jer 24 “But you did not listen to me,” declares the Lord, “and you have aroused my anger with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.”

So reading these chapters are a bit dark and hard to find comments or perspectives worth sharing.  But I am thankful that we have God's Grace and Jesus who has already protected us, if we are willing to ask him into our hearts, from our lack of listening and what our hands have made that would bring ultimate destruction to ourselves.

have a great weekend--half way there on Jeremiah!

  1. It is dark. But, it seems really simple to me. God isn't asking them to control their thoughts, or to do anything that falls in the "we are broken as people". He only asks them to not make false idols. And they can't do it! What's the deal? Why are they so hungry to make a statue to worship? It seems so crazy to me. God has done so much for them. Can't they see it?.......
And then I think of all the things I struggle with, that could be termed as false gods....like money, and presitge, and status......its really not so different. Perhaps someday someone will look at my life and say, "he's so silly, couldn't he see it?" hahahah.

    peace
