I'm doubling the chapters now, for 2 reasons. I'm still struggling with the chapters reading very similarly, and because Jeremiah is a long one.
8 I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. 9 Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’
I love the redemptive power of God, and his willingness to give it to us. The punishment that he gives us is always more than deserved. The restoration is given when we show a willingness to acknowledge him and try to walk with him. In that, ultimately, he is the one that is glorified.

agreed moving at 2 chapters per day is a good idea.
ReplyDelete33:11 the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying,
“Give thanks to the Lord Almighty,
for the Lord is good;
his love endures forever.”
For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord.
No take today for me but I just liked reading the words from a familiar song--his love endures forever! A good way to start the day.
