John 21

25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

I really loved this book.  So much action, so much of Jesus' actual teaching and speaking.  It's great fuel for life.  I love how it ends.  It really says it all about who Jesus was/is, and how it relates to all of humanity.

I find myself wondering about all of these times that Jesus appeared to them, but they didn't really recognize him, or their eyes weren't opened....and so on.  Does that have anything to do with us only using 10% of our brain capacity?  I know God made us in his image, and we wrecked it.  Is that part of the deal?  Or is Jesus' appearance somewhat altered to his previous body?  Don't you think its funny that the disciples knew it was him, regardless of his appearance.  Can you imagine having that strong and consistent of a personality that people would know its you by your actions....even though you didn't really look like you?  nutz!

  1. you picked the same verse as me, it left me wonder what other miracles he did while here on earth. Another thing that caught my attention is Jesus asking Peter 3 times if he loved him. Peter had denied him 3 times before the crucifixion. I bet that felt good to be reminded of that incident. I hope I don't have to relieve all my greatest moments at the pearly gates.
