2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, 3 and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.
I love how this chapter starts. David is giving Solomon his wisdom and direction on how to rule, once he is gone. This really reads as a great charge, and is good advice for ANYONE. Good stuff.
I was a little confused as to why Solomon got so upset at the request being made of him. First of all, I don't know why Adonijah would request to have Abishag. Seems strange. I have a feeling its all tangled up with Abishag being the one that kept David warm in his bed?
Any thoughts on that one?
Have a great and meaningful Easter!
