1 Chronicles 28

“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. 10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.”

What a great charge!  I think I should read that every morning.  But, just insert my name in there.  I can't imagine being the son of David.  He must have been a larger than life figure.  It must have been intimidating to be one of his kids.  Kind of like being Michael Jordan's kid.....only times 10!  But, David continuously points to God for all of his earthly success.
Great model.
have a great weekend

  1. That is such a great passage. Billions of people out there and he searches MY heart and knows MY every desire. That is hard to get my head around. I've noticed as of late things were going a little better at work and next thing you know I'm not going to him in prayer as much. What a slap in the face that must be for him. I find that when times are tough at work I am praying for his help but it also connects me to him and I pray about other much more important things. I am recommitting myself again to being in prayer and seeking him daily.

9 ...If you seek him, he will be found by you..
