2 Chronicles 2

“The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods. But who is able to build a temple for him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain him? Who then am I to build a temple for him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before him?

This would be a daunting task, mentally.  To know the scope and importance of what you are doing.....huge!

  1. 7 “Send me, therefore, a man skilled to work in gold and silver, bronze and iron, and in purple, crimson and blue yarn, and experienced in the art of engraving, to work in Judah and Jerusalem with my skilled workers, whom my father David provided.

I was in the same area as you again. It probably is not the point of this section but we sometimes talk about spiritual gifts and using those gifts. Solomon recognizes he wants to lead construction of a great temple for God and to do so he must use the special gifts and talents of others to get it done not just his own skill and resources. Knowing and understanding the talents God has given me and/or being able to recognize those in others and then finding the right situation to apply them can enable great things.
