There's so much to talk about in this one. From the persistent widow, to the "faith like a child" to the rich young ruler. So much.
I like the simplicity of the verse I copied. Most of the message is around this idea. How we approach God and how we approach others. It leads back to "Love your God with all your heart and mind, and the second is like it....love your neighbor as yourself."

ReplyDelete43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
So I guess may 'blind faith' came out of stories like this one? This guy has never seen anything Jesus has done. He has only heard of Jesus and his actions and yet his faith in Jesus is so strong he just knows that Jesus can give him sight. The story is probably much deeper than this as it seems everything in the bible has multiple purposes. There is also a lesson in asking Jesus for what we want, in this case sight. Go to him for our needs.
so i'd like to get to the level of poor sighted faith if not blind faith!
