Luke 19

47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

I didn't pull much today.  Although, I did enjoy the read.  This is the last verse in the chapter.  I think it speaks volumes for who Jesus was/is and how the people truly felt about him.  He was so popular with the people, that those who hated him couldn't really do anything about it.  If you are "hanging on someone's words.." you are really looking to them for the next right move.
The leaders were against him, but the followers were with him.  I like that.

  1. 3 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’...24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’

I didn't get a ton either today, though these accounts are all very familiar which does feel good to know that chunks of the bible are residing inside me.

I did take away that we have responsibilities to do as Jesus has instructed us. If we are not obedient we have everything to lose. His instructions about how to live our lives are not complicated and are direct just like this parable about the money...so just do what he says. How hard can that be, right?
