14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
The ways of the world today illustrate the collective lack of Spirit within our culture. It seems there is little acceptance of what we are told via the Bible. Worse than not accepting, in some cases we are considered fools.

I find that's true of me too. If I could a spell without being connected to God through prayer, or church, or our daily read.....it starts to make less and less sense in my head. I am weak, just like the rest of the world.
