“The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
I don't remember reading this the last time through. I don't remember there being such a clear connection between work and reward. The thought of idleness, or busi-bodiness........its funny. But, I agree with it. I often talk to the boys about trying to do something productive every day. Its easy to not be productive for me. I am a pre-crastinator. Which means.....I plan on putting things off. If I can push it to tomorrow.....that's my nature.
This is a renewing of the challenge for me to be productive. And, more importantly, being productive within God's perspective not just my own.

You picked the same verse I did, so I picked another
ReplyDelete15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.
Its stated in a bit of a negative way, but I'll choose to say we should be accountability partners with other Christians. Encouraging each other to be active, as you say not for ourselves but for Jesus. I think I'm decently active, but my purpose is often self-centered.
I like pre-crastinator though---thats a good one!
Gina just got back from a weekend in Nashville with her best friends. She had such a great time she texted me while I was there that I need to organize a trip for you, Scott and I. Maybe she's right, since our Labor Day tradition just doesn't work these days maybe its time to find a weekend together. what do you say, maybe we look at a winter weekend and put something in the books?
