Genesis 3

22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

gonna skip over what I know I wrote about last time, and talk about this verse.  I'm not sure it caught my attention last time.  This makes it sounds like because Eve picked the fruit and ate it, and gave it to Adam....their eyes were opened and they knew good and evil.  But, if Adam picked from the tree himself....they would live forever.  I wonder if that is because Adam potentially picked the fruit or if its a function of eating the fruit twice?  Or are there different kinds of fruit on the tree and different reactions if you eat it?....not sure.  I find it interesting that this verse is included.  There must be something here for us to learn.  Or is it as simple as the reason they were banished?

  1. I've re-read several times and tried to research your question, I'm coming up empty today. You sparked my curiosity but I have not answers. I did note his statement of man has become like one of us, again a tip towards the trinity even in the very beginning.
