This specific to men's weakness related to sex. It always amazes me how so many rich and powerful men throw it all away for a fling with a new woman or even getting into trouble with prostitutes.
But I think the lesson while directly speaking about this weakness and the distress implications can also apply to anything that can be a temptation to make poor choices. The lesson being if you know you have a weakness don't put your self in the situation where your weakness is likely to cause you to make poor choices.

We couldn't be more aligned on this one. But, I think in our day and age this also applies to pornography. It's even easier than cheating, or prostitution. The access our society has to porn is scary. Quick and easy. Nobody has to know except you. Scary.
ReplyDeleteI really like your different spin. It's almost word for word what I say. Find out your weaknesses and then make sure you are not going to be in a position to NEED to make the decision. Don't go right up the line, and then have to have the fortitude to turn the other way. Stay away from the line. Don't walk up to it.
I'm with ya. Easier to say than do.
