26 Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge

I didn't find a ton today to talk about. A couple verses on don't be the debtor. I think most of the US could use some lessons in this space. There is so much freedom in having little owed to others, but it takes some discipline to avoid keeping up with the jones'. some basic good financial principles captured in the bible over 2000 years ago.

I agree with your sentiment. Kim and I carry no debt.....but, it isn't really anything to be super proud of. We used to carry debt. But, my income finally crossed over our spending and now we are good. HAHAHA.....funny how things work.

to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
This is my verse for the reading. Its a reminder that how people see me (I'm thinking specifically about my work environment) is more important than my position or title. How am I viewed as a person. That's where the real respect comes in.
