Isaiah 46
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.
He has a plan and has since the beginning. He's made it clear how this world ends. He's made it clear we have one path to Salvation. We can look back in history and see what he has said is occurring. Timing is unknown to us, but should be able to see there is no reason to doubt the inevitable. Yet collectively as humans we sure have a large amount of doubt, sad and scary for those who do not believe.

I find comfort in this one today. I joke a lot about getting old lately. Probably because the hair is almost gone and the right knee is shot, and I can't get my back to feel right.....but this verse gives me comfort.
I haven't done a lot of writing about what is going on in my little Detroit house, other than to say that things are not great......there is a lot write, some pretty heavy things that have really tested my resolve and to some extent my faith. 2019 was the roughest year of my life. More stress than I can believe I made it through.
This verse tells me that he is with me. He is watching everything and is in it with me. There have been points in my life when I needed him to "carry me," and guide me. This is the biggest with the most at stake. I need his wisdom and strength.
that sounds like positive direction for your mom. That's great!
