John 8

 John 8:12

"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.   Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

I picked this verse today.  I'm not sure why.  Just seems like we need some light in these days.  I'm trying hard to hold on to the light.  We have COVID raging here in Detroit.  We've had lots of friends lose family members.  Then there's the political strife right now, and the volatility it is bringing out in people.  Then our home situation with mental instability.....its been a TOUGH year!  I'm looking up.......just looking up.

  1. Prayers for your community and your family. I'm thankful you have Jesus to hold onto through difficulty-his the light for sure. COVID and political strife are hard to deal with but concerns for our families are next level stress--I do keep praying for you guys.

I do intend to be more regular on here--this week was one with 6am meetings all week which is on top my quiet time and I am terrible at doing it later.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

this verse is comforting for me for some reason. just knowing Jesus was there before he was down here and he is back in heaven now and we WILL join him. I liked how he subtly mad that point--I was there when Abraham arrived in heaven.

    peace my bro--
