Even after being appointed king over the tribe of Judah, David shows humility with his pledge to treat those who had buried Saul with kindness and faithfulness. A great model for those who want to be great leaders to follow.
15 So they stood up and were counted off—twelve men for Benjamin and Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, and twelve for David. 16 Then each man grabbed his opponent by the head and thrust his dagger into his opponent’s side, and they fell down together.

Humility in leadership is essential. The key is not to come off as "self-deprocating", while still being respected.......make sense?
it does, I think people like those who don't take themselves to seriously. I got that part down I think, now if I can get the respect part! lol
