22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
It seems that a message from David is to not worry about what others think of you if you are genuine in your celebration and worship of God. Saul's daughter called him out for his excessive celebration, David's response in v22 is basically I don't care if I look like a fool to you or others--I'm worshiping God.
have a great day
you are beating me to the post everyday! We are in Fort Myers on vacation, and my "up" time has moved considerably. I was just reading todays chapter and highlighted the same verse that you called out. I love it when that happens. That tells tme that God is really trying to empahsize something to us. "I will become more undiginified than this".......I love that.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that we shouldn't be so concerned about what others think of us, as we are praising God.
Thanks for all the prayers lately. It means A LOT to me. Let me know how I can return the uplifting
I'm glad you have been able to get away and enjoy a vacation and quality family time, you definitely deserve it! I like it too when I see you highlighting the samething I'm looking at. This has been a great journey for me, 5:30am bible study is just a part of life for me now. enjoy your vacation!
