This one is heavy......

"As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, konws the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them."
both of these are tough ones for me.
1. Don't pass judgement on those around me. enough said.
2. Don't boast of plans for the future. I have to admit that I never really thought about this one. But, I am in complete agreement with it. The future isn't up to me, and my plans. Is completely up to God. So, why would I talk about the future in such a way that makes it sound like I think I'm in control? It seems that if I could really practice this one.....it would be really liberating to know and live in the idea that my future is in God's hands, and not mine.

ReplyDelete2. Its a pretty strong statement too that boasting of your future plans is evil. I agree it would probably be liberating yet to be honest I don't feel its something I'm very close to doing. What stops me? especially when it says boast of plans for the future are evil?
