Romans 4

from the Message version... 4-5If you're a hard worker and do a good job, you deserve your pay; we don't call your wages a gift. But if you see that the job is too big for you, that it's something only God can do, and you trust him to do it—you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you worked—well, that trusting-him-to-do-it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift.


Just another good reminder today that truly having faith means giving him all the controls and believing not just saying that through Him all things are possible.

This chapter talks about Abrahams faithfulness to God....and how even in his old age, and the old age of his wife, he still believed God's promise that he would make him the father of many nations. But, I seem to remember Abraham sleeping with Sarah handmaiden, and having a son name Ishmael. Isn't that right. So, Abraham wasn't completely faithful either. I think the verse that says something about us all falling short of the Glory of God is great in these chapters
