38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
So upon being told by Gabriel she will become pregnant with the Son of God, knowing it is humanly impossible she needs little convincing it will happen before making the statement in v38. Mary must have been a woman of amazing faith, I wish I was more like her. I would have been more like Zechariah saying what are you talking about that doesn't even make sense, God would probably have to zip my lips too because of my lack of faith. So I am going to try and keep this verse handy when I have doubts.

I agree. I find myself having a lack of real faith....even that God will/can do the little things in life. Here we are not talking about something little. This isn't something that could be considered a coincidence. That's why I'm so drawn to it, I think. There's no doubt that both of these 2 cases are God breathed. Pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd even cooler that the women were told of the plan, an both believed.
I wonder how God was during time. What he was thinking......knowing his ultimate redemption plan is starting to unfold. It must have been pretty exciting for him too.
