John 2

“Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”

19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

Today struck me seeing not only how Jesus knew who he was and what was in store for him but also his perfect knowledge of who each person was....and is.

He knows exactly who I am and He died to save me from my own sins.  Pretty powerful thought that the God of all creation, that God written about in the words 2000 years ago, knows and loves little me sitting here on my couch in Grimes IA.  Whom shall I fear?

  1. we shouldn't wear anyone or anything. Its not smart or logical to do so.

I'm always intrigued by the turning of the water into wine, and how the modern day church feels about alcohol consumption. Especially due to the fact that the verses imply that the miracle was done when everyone was already well on their way to having a good time, and the amount that was created was pretty large. I think we, and the church, tend to put God into a ;nice, neat box that we think fits him......and maybe it doesn't. Just interesting.
