7 “Son of man, I have made yoy a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
Though Jesus has come and we are now saved through him, it seems this responsibility that is presented in the Old Testament must carry some weight yet today. We have a responsibility to share that Jesus is the only way to eternal life. I'm not sure of the consequences for not sharing but given this passage and the consistency of God I would think our silence would not go unnoticed.
knut
I copied the same verse. I think the imagery is interesting.
ReplyDeleteI seem to remember a similar metaphor that Jesus used when talking about the second coming?......I think. Talking about leaving the light on, and being ready for the time, which will seem random to us, when he returns..
nice!
