47 So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. 48 He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.
I didn't get a lot but found this be some foreshadowing of the permanent atonement Jesus did for any of us who believe--he stands between the living and the dead.

I find it pretty incredible that Aaron and Moses were able to stay strong in their faith, with all the doubters around them. And not only strong in thier faith, but for Aaron to run into the plague to stop it, and know that he would survive it?.....I would be running the other way.
ReplyDeleteIts funny to me how the people keep rising up to oppose Moses. And why? I think its due to human ambition. Its hard for us to see someone else succeed, or be the "favorite". They were jealous of Moses and Aaron, and they didn't like it.
We are a sad, sad people.
