12 The Israelites said to Moses, “We will die! We are lost, we are all lost!
so everything that they have seen and been through and it looks like the budding staff got their attention this time...for now.
How many times does God get my full attention, because he has shown himself to me through some event in my life, only to have that feeling fade away and I revert to my own ways? Not Moses though, it says he did just as the Lord commanded him...again.
What does it take to become so connected with God that he always has my full attention and obedience? This daily reading is one element. As we have talked many times it needs to be so much more time in prayer and yet I don't do it. life choices are allowing me to fill my time with stuff of this world.

The Israelits are a funny people. They seem to be really black and white to me. They are either gumbling against God or Moses and Aaron.....or they are wailing that they are going to die! Is there no in-between with these people. Do they ever just trust God and go along with it for a while? Even if its just to see how things play out? That's probably what I would be doing.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the quiestion of how to be that connected. I also think you are right with the prayer comment. I think that's the key. I'm still not doing it consistently.
