It strikes me how similar these events are to the Plagues. Water turning to blood, the sores, even the image of the frogs. Eerily similar.
3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
I think we know enough now about how reliant we are on our Oceans to know if this happened.....its all over.
10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness.
This one caught my eye. There isn't a gender reference here.....hmmm. I did read a couple of other translations, and they said "his". I find that interesting. Perhaps the embodiment of evil takes no gender.

ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that the people left just don't seem to get it even at the very end. They are cursing God right to the very end. These chapters are interesting images to read about but finding an application to use is difficult.
I leave Nov 4 and get back Nov 19 from Australia so I will be spotty I'm sure. Hope Vegas goes well for you.
