Acts 20

10 Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!”

This one confuses me a little bit.  I'm not sure what the intent of the resurrection is?  This is usually a miracle performed by Jesus, to teach the people of his power and dominance over death.....or to reward someones faith.  But, this one is strange.  The dude just falls asleep during his sermon.  It doesn't say that an angel caused him to fall into a deep sleep.  It just says he falls asleep.  So, what does this prove/show/teach the people that were there?
I'm not sure.
I put it in the old google.....and came up with a lot of hits.  Lots of people trying to justify the story or the symbolism.  But, nothing really stuck with me.

  1. i didn't pick up anything from this chapter that struck me, though what you noted is interesting. It is funny how so many people have a take on the meaning. I don't think we know until we get a chance to ask in person.

maybe just a little God humor. Just think literally millions or even billions of people know Eutychus and will be ribbing him about falling asleep and making it into The book. ok probably not.
